NFU took part in Finansforbundet Denmark´s Congress

NFUs General Secretary Carin Hallerström joined 200 delegates in Finansforbundet Denmark last week for their Landsmøte (Congress) In Nyborg. There were inspiring days with great speeches from many committed trade union representatives.

The Congress covered important themes like Sustainable Finance, AI and digitalisation, Stress, Outsourcing, Up- and reskilling, and Collective bargaining. It’s inspiring to see how employees in the Nordic finance sector are leading the way in this development.

Anna Maria Romano, President of UNI Global Union Finance, addressed the Congress with an important message:

Your track record is impressive. You possess the potential to shape Europe’s future path and to push for a more social Europe and a sustainable finance sector.

Furthermore, NFU President Michael Budolfsen received much praise for his commitment to shaping the framework for finance employees on European and international levels. Additionally, Kent Petersen, outgoing President at Finansforbundet, was duly credited for his many years of visionary and committed leadership, not least by creating the startup hub for FinTechs. Now, the new leadership team has been elected, with Dorrit Brandt taking the lead as the President, together with Steen Lund Olsen and Jakob Thorgaard as Vice-Presidents.

NFU is looking forward to continuing our great cooperation with Finansforbundet!
