Fewer Nordic seats in European Parliament
2014, at the next elections to the European Parliament, the Nordic region will loose four seats in total. Denmark and Finland will both loose one seat, while Sweden will have two fewer MEP’s – Members of the European Parliament.
The number of seats in the European Parliament will be redistributed, as the total number of MEP’s should be 751, according to the Lisbon treaty. Since Croatias entry in the EU, there are now 766 MEP’s.
