Follow-up on the declaration on CSR

The European Social partners of the Bank sector met in November to discuss and follow-up on the joint declaration on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) that was signed in 2014.

The event was held at the European Banking Federation’s (EBF) office in Brussels, gathering representatives from the European trade unions and employers’ organisations.

The representative from the European Commission emphasized the importance of Social dialogue, mentioning that Jean-Claude Juncker at the beginning of his term as President of the European Commission stated expressively that he wanted to be the “President of Social Dialogue”.

All stakeholders declared their commitment to continue working with and improve the implementation of the declaration on CSR. The topic was taken on-board the Bank Social Dialogue work plan for 2017-2018.
